Ewan Walker
Project Director
Ewan is the Project Director of Arven, overseeing the planning, execution and management of the project. Ewan has worked in development for over 20 years and for the past 14 years has been an offshore wind farm developer focused on projects in Scotland.
Ewan’s academic background is in biology and environmental studies, and, prior to Arven, Ewan led environmental and consenting work for the 450MW Neart na Gaoithe Offshore Wind Farm, which is currently in construction off the Fife coast. He spent nine years on the project, from early in the development phase through to the start of construction.
Aaron Priest
Stakeholder Manager
Aaron is the Stakeholder Manager at Arven, based in Lerwick. With over 20 years of experience in stakeholder and project management for large-scale wind energy projects in Shetland, Aaron brings extensive local expertise to the team.
At Arven, Aaron is passionate about integrating local infrastructure investment and business opportunities into the project’s development. He leads efforts to engage the Shetland community and key stakeholders, including signing an MoU with Lerwick Port Authority and establishing a Fisheries Forum for local and national fishing industries.
Sarah MacNab
Environment and Consents
Sarah is responsible for ensuring the project obtains the necessary environmental and technical consents to progress to construction.
With nearly 20 years of experience in environmental impact assessment and consenting across multiple marine sectors, Sarah specialises in offshore wind farm projects, particularly in Scottish and UK waters. Her role includes providing key guidance on environmental and consenting issues throughout Arven's development phase.
Rosie Scurr
Environment and Consents
Rosie is part of Arven’s environment and consents team, responsible for securing consents for the project's onshore transmission elements. She will coordinate the Environmental Impact Assessment and related documentation for licensing and consent applications.
Rosie has 18 years of experience in marine and terrestrial renewable energy licensing in Scotland, with expertise in environmental management, consenting and compliance for both onshore and offshore wind projects.
Anna Dunbar
Project Manager
Anna is a Project Manager at Arven with 15 years of experience managing offshore renewable energy projects. Before joining Mainstream Renewable Power, she was a Senior Project Manager at SIMEC Atlantis Energy, where she led the development of tidal projects, including the MeyGen Project in the Pentland Firth.
Anna is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer with a PhD focused on the economic and regulatory barriers to electrical energy storage in the UK.
Lynsey Shovlin
Supply Chain
Lynsey leads Arven's efforts to build relationships with local suppliers and industry partners, identifying supply chain capabilities and barriers to access. This work informs the project’s procurement and technical strategies.
Lynsey also represents Arven in key industry forums, such as Scotland’s offshore wind cluster, and reports on the project's progress in involving Scottish and UK companies in its supply chain development initiatives.
